Rules book - Football tournament

Team Registrations strictly verified on eligible criteria provided by committee. Any disputes may cause to disqualification of the team. Please get in touch with committee and clarify.

1. 1 ●  Each team will be allowed to have a total of 8 players registered for the tournament.
2. 2 ●  The format of the tournament is 6 in-field players. Only 6 of the 8 players registered will be eligible to play at a time as the other three should be kept as substitutes.
3. 3 ●  To play a game one team should have minimum 4 players (incl. the Goalkeeper)on the field. In case if the team has less than 4 players on the field, then the opponent team will get walk-over
4. 4 ●  This tournament will be a knockout basis; the structure of the tournament will be well explained on the delivery of the fixtures
5. 5 ●  All students matches will be of 15 minutes which includes 2 minutes break in between. Adults matches will be having 20minutes with a half time break of 2minutes.
6. 6 ●  Unlimited substitutions (incl. the Goalkeeper) are allowed during the course of a match. Substitutions can be made only when the ball is out of play and with Refree’s consent.
7. 7 ●  All teams are to report 10 minutes prior to their match. Failing to report on time will lead in giving a walk over to the opponent team with a 3-0 margin
8. 8 ●  All free kicks will be direct kicks
9. 9 ●  No offside rules throughout the tournament
10. 10 ●  Penalty kicks should be taken in standing position, no steps allowed. (Excluding boys under 11 and Girls matches)
11. 11 ●  Player receiving a red card during the course of a match will be dismissed from the match. No player will be allowed to substitute for the dismissed player. In case of repeat red card (2^nd) issued to a player, he / she will be terminated from the tournament.
12. 12 ●  In case of a tie in a knock out match, the result of the match will be decided in penalties. A coin toss will occur to decide the winner as a tie-breaker even a decision was not made by allowed number of penalty shootouts.
13. 13 ●  Football boots (without sharp spikes)/sports shoes are required to play in the pitch. All kinds of ornaments should be removed before entering for the game.
14. 14 ●  All team will get Meraki Jersey from the organizing committee, girls will get full sleeve jersey. Girls should wear full length trousers also, can have additional inner full sleeve if required
15. 15 ●  Participants are liable to submit any document proving their identity and age at the request of the organizers. Failing to do so in time will result in the disqualification of the participant and the team
16. 16 ●  In case of any disputes concerning the event, teams are bound to contact the organizers and the final decision will be taken by them after discussing with match referee. The decisions taken by the organizers/referee will be final and will be followed in the tournament
17. 17 ●  Only team captain will be allowed to communicate with referee during the matches in case of clarification or disputes to report.
18. 18 ●  Teams can appoint a manager/coach to guide the players during the match and only this dedicated person will be allowed in the dugout area.

1. 1 ●  Players must bring racket (shuttle bat). Shuttle cock will be provided at venue (Yonex Mavis 350).
2. 2 ●  Players must use non-marking shoe or shoe with non-spike.
3. 3 ●  This tournament will be a knockout basis. The structure of the tournament will be well explained on the delivery of the fixtures.
4. 4 ●  Each round consists of a single set of 15 points (rally game) except the semi-final and final where it has been 21 points.
5. 5 ●  Pitching on the line is consider as point (say IN)
6. 6 ●  Participants are liable to submit any document proving their identity and age at the request of the organizers. Failing to do so in time will result in the disqualification of the participant and the team
7. 7 ●  In case of any disputes concerning the event, teams are bound to contact the organizers and the final decision will be taken by them after discussing with match referee. The decisions taken by the organizers/referee will be final and will be followed in the tournament.
8. 8 ●  Girls can have extra full sleeve inners and full-length trousers along with the jersey which is provided by tournament committee.
9. 9 ●  Each match will be held in specific badminton court and that will be announced prior to the tournament.
