Meraki '23 Rule Book

 Rules book - Football tournament 

 

1. Team Registrations strictly verified on eligible criteria provided by committee. Any disputes may cause to disqualification of the team. Please get in touch with committee and clarify. 

2. Each team will be allowed to have a total of 9 players registered for the tournament. 

3. The format of the tournament is 6 in-field players. Only 6 of the 9 players registered will be eligible to play at a time as the other three should be kept as substitutes. 

4.To play a game one team should have minimum 4 players (incl. the Goalkeeper)on the field. In case if the team has less than 4 players on the field, then the opponent team will get walk-over 

5. This tournament will be a knockout basis; the structure of the tournament will be well explained on the delivery of the fixtures 

6. All students matches will be of 15 minutes which includes 3 minutes break in between. Adults matches will be having 20minutes with a half time break of 3min. 

7. Unlimited substitutions (incl. the Goalkeeper) are allowed during the course of a match. Substitutions can be made only when the ball is out of play and with Refree’s consent. 

8. All teams are to report 15 minutes prior to their match. Failing to report on time will lead in giving a walk over to the opponent team with a 3-0 margin 

9. All free kicks will be direct kicks 

10. Throw-in ball not allowed, it will be a free kick. 

11. No offside rules throughout the tournament 

12. Penalty kicks should be taken in standing position, no steps allowed. (Excluding boys under 11 and Girls under 14) 

13. Player receiving a red card during the course of a match will be dismissed from the match and the very next match. No player will be allowed to substitute for the dismissed player 

14. In case of a tie in a knock out match, the result of the match will be decided in penalties 

15. Football boots/sports shoes are required to play in the pitch. All kinds of ornaments should be removed before entering for the game. 

16. All team will get Meraki Jersey from the organizing committee, girls will get full sleeve jersey. Girls should wear full length trousers also can have additional inner full sleeve 

17. Participants are liable to submit any document proving their identity and age at the request of the organizers. Failing to do so in time will result in the disqualification of the participant and the team 

18. Match referee decision will be final. In case of any disputes concerning the event, teams are bound to contact the organizers and the final decision will be taken by them after discussing with match referee. The decisions taken by the organizers/referee will be final and will be followed in the tournament 

19. Only team captain will be allowed to communicate with referee during the matches in case of clarification or disputes to report. 

20. Teams can appoint a manager/coach to guide the players during the match and only this dedicated person will be allowed in the dugout area.

Rules book - Badminton tournament 

 

1. Team Registrations strictly verified on eligible criteria provided by committee. Any disputes may cause disqualification of the team. Please get in touch with the committee and clarify. 

2. Players must bring racket (shuttle bat).  Shuttle cock will be provided at venue (Yonex Mavis 350). 

3. Players must use non-marking shoe or can play on bare foot at their own risk 

4. This tournament will be a knockout basis. The structure of the tournament will be well explained on the delivery of the fixtures. 

5. Each round consists of a single set of 15 points (rally game) except final where it has been 21 points. 

6. Pitching on the line is consider as point (say IN) 

7. Participants are liable to submit any document proving their identity and age at the request of the organizers. Failing to do so in time will result in the disqualification of the participant and the team 

8. In case of any disputes concerning the event, teams are bound to contact the organizers and the final decision will be taken by them after discussing with match referee. The decisions taken by the organizers/referee will be final and will be followed in the tournament. 

9. Jersy will be provided for students ( Full sleeve for Girls).  Girls should wear full-length pants along.  

10. Each match will be held in specific badminton court and that will be announced prior to the tournament. 

11. Every team should report and be ready for the game at the respective court within a maximum of duration 3 minutes after the call , any team who exceeds this time limit of 3 minutes will be terminated from the match and opponent will be awarded walk-over.
